One drafting feature. Then a funded company.

A US legal AI startup asked us to build one feature. It went live, users gave feedback, and we grew alongside them into the team behind its AI agent and go-to-market.

The client is a legal AI startup in the United States. They were building an AI assistant for lawyers.

Lawyers spend much of their day writing and rewriting documents. A clause is added. A term is tightened. A section is redrafted for the other side.

The startup had a platform and a clear idea. They needed to prove one thing first: that AI could change a legal document on a plain instruction, inside their product.

They came to us with one feature in mind. A user types an instruction. The document gets updated.

We built it as a proof of concept. The scope was small on purpose. One feature, built well, inside their existing platform.

We delivered it, and it went live.

Once lawyers started using the drafting assistant, the startup got its first real feedback from users.

That feedback mattered more than any plan. It showed the idea held up in real use, and it pointed to what to build next.

One feature turned into a product. The product needed more people, so we kept adding them.

Each role joined when the work called for it. The team worked as part of the startup, not as a separate vendor.

  • Full-stack developers to build out the platform around the AI.
  • AI engineers to build the AI agent and improve its answers.
  • QA engineers to test each release before it reached users.
  • Legal experts, so the product was shaped by people who know how lawyers work.

At the heart of the product is an AI agent. We built it.

In legal work, an answer is only useful if it can be checked. A lawyer has to know where a statement came from before relying on it.

So the agent does not answer from memory. It looks things up in the user's documents and in the sources it can reach, then answers from what it found.

Every answer is grounded in those sources and comes with a citation. The lawyer can see where each point came from and check it.

With the agent and the platform in place, the startup launched the product.

Users kept signing up, and the startup kept onboarding them. It also began closing enterprise deals.

Our team kept shipping alongside them: new features, fixes and improvements driven by what users asked for.

A good product still has to reach people. As the startup grew, our team grew to include go-to-market.

Our GTM people set up the tools and channels the startup uses to find, track and convert customers.

  • HubSpot, set up to manage leads and the sales pipeline.
  • Mixpanel, set up to see how users move through the product.
  • Go-to-market channels to reach new users.
  • Tracking across them, so the team can see what is working.

The startup has reached $5M in annual recurring revenue. It has raised $10M at an $80M valuation.

It keeps onboarding users and closing enterprise deals.

Our team with them is now 10 people, across engineering, AI, QA, legal and go-to-market. It started with one feature.

You do not need to plan the whole company on day one. Start with one feature that users can try.

Put it in front of real users and listen to what they say. Then add the people the product needs, when it needs them.

That is how we work with startups: one useful thing first, then a team that grows with you.

The results
  • $5MAnnual recurring revenue
